It wasn’t that long ago that I started engaging with schools to test how unwanted school uniforms could be used in a more meaningful way.
Netherlee Primary and it's Parent Teacher Association have really embraced the opportunity - and the unknown! - by engaging in the early stages of the process.
There have been lots of steps to building our relationship, a supportive Head Teacher and staff and a welcoming PTA. This led to the opportunity to meet and engage with parents at a Parents’ Evening, circulating marketing materials, receiving lots of donations from parents and pupils and gathering unclaimed lost property.
It has been quite a journey so far…
The next stage is that we are going to a uniform sale at Netherlee next week on Thursday 26th April to sell quality second hand uniform items to parents, alongside the new.
Thanks to Netherlee for being early adopters!
