If you're passionate about reducing the impact of kids clothing on our planet and are excited about the work we do at ApparelXchange, why not come along and volunteer with us at our warehouse? We can offer 3-4 hours per week, where you'll help us to sort through donations, clean them and label them, alongside lots of other fun bits and bobs!

Samya - AXC Volunteer
Samya has been volunteering at ApparelXchange since 2023:
"I was excited to get involved as I am passionate about textile sustainability
and the need to champion circular approaches to fashion. Since becoming a volunteer, I’ve helped out across both the central warehouse and Southside
shop. -- One of my favourite parts of volunteering has also been helping out at events. I particularly enjoyed the teen clothes swap – it was really fun to see the enthusiasm and creativity they brought to second-hand style!"
Alison - AXC Volunteer
Long term volunteer Alison, mother of five, told us why she volunteers her time for ApparelXchange:
"It gets me out of the house, makes me feel useful. I get a buzz out of it. It has opened my eyes to the second hand clothing market.
In the city of Glasgow where there is so much deprivation, there is also so much waste and a 'throwaway' society. Just look at how much amazing clothing we have here".
Stephen - AXC Volunteer
Stephen has been volunteering with Apparel for some time now, on Fridays, at
our warehouse hub. Stephen said:
"There's a fantastic atmosphere at the warehouse. I love it so far. All the volunteers and managers (hey, that includes you!) are terrific, ApparelXchange helps people back to work.
ApparelXchange is so full of charmers, I'd rather be there than in the Bahamas.* As it's minus sulks and tiffs or dramas, volunteering there's the cat's pajamas."
