Meet ApparelXchange at the Merry Go Round Sale
One of the motivations behind ApparelXchange is to help change how people purchase, use and dispose of school uniforms. ApparelXchange wants to enable more parents to buy quality, affordable used school uniforms.
Why? ……Because often school uniforms are in good condition, sometimes hardly worn when children have grown out of them or no longer want to wear them. There is life in this clothing, but at the moment it is not always convenient to redirect uniforms to other children, so we want to help change that. Secondly, by reusing school uniform items ApparelXchange can help make these essential purchases more affordable for families. This reduces the financial pressure for people who are on a low income.
Finally by helping parents and children access reused school uniform ApparelXchange can help reduce the environmental impacts associated with buying new garments. This means less carbon emissions, pollution and resources needed, which overall is good for the planet and the future for our children.
So, if this all sounds like something you are in to and I hope it is (?), please come down to the Briggiat, Friday 25th to Sunday 27th May (10 - 4 every day) for the Merry Go Round sale. ApparelXchange will have our mobile shop and we would love to meet you and find out more about your ideas about school uniform reuse.
By the way, it is not just school uniforms, if you don’t already know Merry Go Round specialises in Baby and toddler clothing, toys and all the related stuff you need to bring up your kids, so an ideal opportunity to stock up on a range of items. #schooluniformreuse #circulareconomy
