Last week our director, Izzie Eriksen, attended a one-off panel discussion in the SHRUBB Zero Waste Hub in Edinburgh hosted by ethical blogger Ruth MacGilp and Fashion Revolution Scotland, accompanied by Remode Collective and Rejean Denim. This was part of the Edinburgh festival in a bid to promote the topic of ethical and sustainable fashion choices and get people of all ages talking. This was a great opportunity to have on whilst the city is thriving!
A full house posed for a great discussion between the panelists and those who attended. There was lots of questions and some excellent discussion regarding the future of clothing, attitudes of men towards pre-worn garments, the role of policy and regulation and what we can all do to make a difference. Many people in the room were already committed to sustainable consumer choices and others were inspired and left with a new perspective and attitude to buying pre loved garments.
Let us know in the comments below your thoughts on ethical and sustainable fashion choices. We would love to hear your hints and tips to stay stylish while making the right choices.
We loved being part of this type of event thank you to Ruth for reaching out to us!
